PRIORITIES

PRIORITIES AND OBJECTIVES

PRIORITY 1

Pupils achieve expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths, meeting the combined floor target.

1.1

Improve basic arithmetic skills using all four operations.

1.2

Improve explanation of, and meaning of words.

Make and justify inferences from the text.

1.3

Provide the opportunity to write at length in all subjects, consistently reinforcing high expectations for pupils’ English spelling, grammar and punctuation.

All teaching to be good or better.

High expectations for quality of work

Identify when pupils need to be challenged and move them on

Pupils confident and resilient to take more responsibility for their own learning.

PRIORITY 3

Improve attendance by decreasing persistent absence.

3.1

Track, monitor and address attendance for Disadvantaged and SEND Support pupils.

PRIORITY 4

Further develop the skills of middle leaders so that they can improve the quality of teaching and raise standards in their areas of responsibility.

Provide both internal, and external professional development

Analyse data to inform action plan

PRORITY 5

Further improve the effectiveness of the new behaviour and rewards policy to decrease pupils who do not behave appropriately.

 

5.1

Track, monitor and address incidents where pupils do not behave appropriately.

5.2

Implement new reward system for positive behaviours.
