Your child MUST access remote learning if:

  • the child has tested positive for COVID-19;
  • self-isolating for the 14 day period;
  • has COVID-19 related symptoms and awaiting a test;
  • living in an area with a local restriction;
  • living with a family member who is clinically vulnerable and the consultant has stipulated that all members should shield (proof will be requested by school);
  • a child who is clinically vulnerable and the consultant has stipulated that they must shield (proof will be requested by school);
  • unable to attend school due to 'bubble' closure;
  • unable to attend school due to a localised lockdown;
  • unable to attend school due to a national lockdown.

If your child is not able to access online learning, due to a lack of device and/or Wi-Fi, please contact Mr Goodman or the school office so that we can help you with this. DfE laptops have been ordered to support our children and as soon as they are delivered to school, families will be contacted individually.

To access Remote Learning the parent/carer must complete the Acceptable Usage Policy and share with their child the Pupil Acceptable Usage Policy. This must be returned via the link sent to all parents/carers. The survey must be completed for every child that lives in your household that attends Newhall Community Junior School.
