Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium was introduced by the Government in April 2011 to give additional money to support schools in raising attainment.

Pupil Premium is allocated to local authorities and schools for pupils on roll that are known to have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any time in the last six years (E6) and children whose parents are in the Armed Forces.  Pupils Premium Plus is also awarded for children who have been in Local Authority care for 24 hours or more at any point in their life.

The information below outlines how we will spend this income and the impact it is having.  We aim to choose strategies that we know will support our pupils to increase attainment and ‘close the gap’.
